Corona Virus v Boredom

Corona Virus, where do I start?? Like most people I am in lockdown, sent home from work 2 weeks ago now and then received a text and then a letter form NHS stating I am high risk. I was really surprised by this as I finished all cancer treatment 18 months ago so think it must be my age as well.

Well………..I’m lucky I have hobbies as in knitting which is definitely keeping me occupied. I now have the time to update my blog as well.  So, no excuses!!

However, I must say I am already going slightly stir crazy. I go for one regular walk each day, as allowed, and then think about housework, really?? Thinking is about as far as it goes!! There’s always tomorrow, tomorrow, manyana!

I miss the routine of everyday life. I didn’t think I would ever hear myself say that but I really do. I miss my family and grandchildren which goes without saying but miss my colleagues at work as well. I have a pretty stressful job but we have a laugh as we go about our daily work. We have set up a WhatsApp group so we are keeping in touch. You don’t realise when working closely with other people how many of them also have underlying health conditions. Out of about 35 staff there is roughly 6 still working.

I will update my knitting page this week and will also try and upload some more free patterns as I know people like them.

Please leave me a note on what you are doing to overcome the boredom of lockdown

    1. I’m just busy with baby knits. Two babies due to colleagues at work in September so have found a gorgous pattern and busy with those. Mind you have had to frog a couple of times but, hey ho, got loads of time!!!
