It’s time we learnt how to live with the virus.
So, we enter a new week and facing more lockdowns!!! Is this ever going to end??? I ask as I am now so sick and tired of it all. Please don’t get me wrong I’m not saying covid doesn’t exist or anything like that at all. I know there are desperate families around who have lost dear family members and friends so I am not undermining the gravity of the virus.
It the government!!! That’s who I am annoyed with. Unemployment is rising so fast and no jobs on offer. Mental health is taking its toll on people who are already suffering and even people who think they are fine, this will have an effect on them as well. So, our jobcentres cannot cope and our mental health crisis teams are overwhelmed, and that’s not even the half of it.
I think by now the majority of people have gone back to work either full or on a part work part home basis. I certainly am; however, we are still being treated like children. We have this virus which has been with us now for over 7 months and counting. The flu virus kills more people each year than covid has done. We don’t hibernate every winter to protect ourselves from flu, we carry on as normal and take sensible precautions. Don’t we? And there lies the answer, live with covid and take sensible precautions.
This country cannot sustain the levels of money being given away (and scammed) by our government. Who is going to pay for this at the end of the day? You and me the taxpayer!!! What sort of debt are we leaving our children and grandchildren? How it is ever going to be repaid?
Questions, questions, questions, I’m sure you all have many of your own as well.
AND SCAMMERS?????? Don’t get me started……………………. I work for local government and I see the amount of fraud that is getting through with no questions asked. Universal Credit, Bounce Back loans, HMRC Furlough scheme and on and on it goes.
I would calculate about 50% of the people claiming any of the above are fraudsters and it makes my blood boil to think of these people getting OUR money when they don’t deserve to or entitled to it.
