I was going through some patterns a couple of days ago as I was waiting on some new yarn to arrive for my latest project (it was taking an age!!) I came across this cute little basket. Checked it out and found I had the yarn and needles to knit it. Well…… loved it so much I made two!!! Hope you like …….
The yarn is Debbie Bliss C+B Odin. The basket requires a super chunky yarn and is then used double to add extra strength. I used two different colours together to add some oomph!!! They both took literally two nights each (with the sewing up as well). You can find the pattern to download for free under my ‘Free Patterns’.
The odin range is not for everyone and even though is quite soft I’m not sure I would want to knit garments ie scarves etc as I think I would find it a bit itchy!! It is a great yarn for quick knits. Knits up smoothly and really quickly on 8.00mm needles. It does come in a range of vibrant shades which are perfect for winter.
